New Kickstarter: Japanese Ebonite Fountain Pens

We are very excited to share with you our first pens made from the best Japanese ebonite. We just launched a Kickstarter campaign where you can get them at a 40% discount (early backer).
Why Ebonite?
Since 2015, we have been making metal pens in California. We have experimented with aluminum, brass, bronze, copper, stainless steel, and titanium. During the last year, we have been searching for the highest quality Ebonite. We are thrilled to have found the perfect one in Japan. It has a stunning matte black color with amazing mechanical properties. Ebonite has long been regarded as one of the best materials to make fountain pens. It is excellent for machining, has a beautiful appearance, and it is smooth to the touch. In addition, it absorbs heat rapidly so it warms in your hand while in use and creates a wonderful writing experience. Ebonite is a hard rubber obtained by vulcanizing natural rubber from gum trees with sulfur and linseed oil for prolonged periods.
Two Pen Sizes, Large #6 Nib, Eye Dropper
We are offering our standard-size PIUMA and our PIUMA Pocket fountain pen. Both pens come with a #6 nib made by Bock in Germany. We also designed both pens for eye dropping capabilities- threads are designed to prevent ink leakage and o-rings are in place to allow a perfect seal. We are contacting you to see if you are interested in supporting our new pen on Kickstarter. We have listened to your comments and based on your feedback we have launched a new pocket fountain pen that is very compact (the same size as XS), but that features a large #6 nib, a wide grip, and a screw-on cap. This new offering is based on the simple minimalist lines of our PIUMA fountain pen.
The pen is available on Kickstarter for 3 more days at a 40% discount on the future retail price. These pens are machined from solid blocks of titanium, brass, and aluminum.

Dear Backers,
We hope you are doing well. By now, almost all backers have received their pens. We got a notice from several backers in Europe that they have just received their packages after several weeks of delay. It seems that the pandemic is really slowing down the postal service but fortunately, packages are very rarely lost. If you have not received your pen, please allow a few more days to show up.
On the other hand, we wanted to let you know that we recently launched the XS pen in copper. This is a limited edition of 200 pens and it is exclusively available on our website. Pre-orders will be shipped during the second week of September.

Dear Backers,
We're very excited to let you know that today (Monday, July 6th) we finished shipping your pens. Please check your email for a message from Backerkit which contains your tracking number. Pledges within the US will only take 3-5 days to arrive, but international orders can take up to 6 weeks to reach you. Global postal services have been severely affected by the pandemic and there are serious delays. We understand that waiting isn't fun for anyone but there is really nothing we can do to speed up the post.
We're thrilled to have been able to complete the project according to our schedule taking into consideration the current global situation. We hope you enjoy your pens, it has been a joy to design and manufacture them for you.
